Like all beauty pageants, the participants were introduced through a runway catwalk, in order for them to make good first impressions for the audience and most especially, the judges.
The candidates engaged in a series of competitions, particularly: the Casual Wear Catwalk, the Talent Exhibition, and the most essential one of all, the Question and Answer portion. The judges’ evaluations would determine whether which participant wins each part of the contest. And then, the judges would have to choose three finalists each from the male and female contestants regarding who among them will move on to the final Q&A segment of the competition, which concludes the entirety of the event, but not before the announcement of the winners themselves.
Apart from the contest itself, several intermission numbers were performed by each core team in between each portion of the competition to relieve the tension and lighten up the mood of the crowd. The majority of the performances were a mixture of modern international hip-hop dances, as well as songs, drama skits, etc. It was a time of laughter, cheerfulness, and enthusiasm, as each individual member of the group, aside from the candidates, was able to exhibit and show everyone in the audience his or her talents, whatever those may be. The point was, every single person in that room had experienced a tremendous joy.
The Mission team’s jaw-dropping presentation was succeeded by the first part of the competition, which was the Casual Wear Catwalk, wherein the candidates would have to walk through the runway wearing their most stylish form of casual clothing. Everyone in the audience had their picks, but in the end, the decision is up to the judges on who wins from both categories. They had difficult time evaluating the contestants since they had managed to make themselves look incredibly appealing and highly sophisticated. Once the catwalk was over, the candidates headed back into their dressing rooms to prepare themselves for the next portion of the contest.
The program then proceeded to Team Hope’s ecstatic intermission number. Afterwards, it was followed by the Talent Exhibition, wherein the candidates individually showed their talents to the crowd with full confidence, singing and dancing their hearts out. It was indeed a time for them to shine and grab their spotlight. As if the casual wear catwalk wasn’t tough enough, the judges even had a more difficult time giving their points to the respective candidates because of this talent portion, since everybody gave out their absolute best. Eventually, a few minutes of break was integrated to relieve tension and to get everyone ready, most especially the candidates, for the first segment of the Question and Answer Portion.
Altogether, the candidates were called back to the stage once again to stand in front of the audience and the judges to engage in a questionnaire that were prepared for by the judges themselves. The three top contenders from each category who had received the highest points given to them by the judges were proclaimed as finalists and advanced to the final round of the Q&A segment, which concludes the series of competition before the awarding itself. As witnessed, the candidates responded to the questions to the best of their abilities, further proving and developing their intellectual skills. When the inquiry was over, the contestants once again headed back to their dressing rooms and prepared themselves for the upcoming intermission numbers of their respective core teams.
To lighten up the mood once again, the program carried on with Team Friendship’s comedic performance, Team Compassion’s vigorous presentation, and finally, Team Joy’s incredibly energetic dance number. When the intermissions had concluded, it was finally time to announce the names of the candidates who had won the first two portions of the competition, as well as the top three finalists from each category who advanced for the second and final segment of the inquiry.
The names of the winners for the first two portions of the contest are as follows:
